The Precor 842 recumbent bike is equipped with a belt drive system and dual lift drive that provides the user with a quiet and smooth workout experience. The bike's Poly-V belt is used rather than a chain, reducing the need for frequent maintenance.
A built-in, resilient non-contact magnetic generator device provides consistent, uniform resistance and reduces wear and tear that is sometimes associated with mechanized alternators. The Precor 842 Experience recumbent bike is not difficult to move and also has a touchscreen display console, a contact heart rate monitor, and a three-piece crank.
The 842's seat, handlebars and pedals are all ergonomically configured for optimal user comfort across a range of physical body types. The vertical seat has a ratchet system that makes it easy to adjust. Cycling is generally a familiar movement for most people, so a recumbent bike is suitable if you're new to exercise, and its low starting resistance allows you to get started in no time with minimal instruction.
