At Body Gym Equipment, our great strength is giving a second life to commercial cardiovascular training devices so they can continue to offer performance, safety, and durability at a fraction of the price of new. Each refurbished product goes through a rigorous process that combines technical expertise and quality control by our experienced technicians.
Sourcing of devices to be refurbished
The United States represents a major market for training equipment, and we regularly source high-quality cardiovascular devices from there. Whether for renovations of fitness centers or business liquidations, we have developed over the years a vast network of partners and contacts. This expertise allows us to acquire commercial equipment from internationally renowned brands such as Precor, Keiser, Matrix, and Life Fitness. It is worth noting that we only purchase major brands to ensure consistency and quality in our refurbished products.
Step 1: Reception and evaluation
It all starts with a thorough evaluation of the received device. Our specialized technicians open the device and check the overall condition of the frame, electronic components, mechanical systems, and wear parts. This step allows for the identification of elements to be replaced or refurbished.
Step 2: Disassembly and deep cleaning
The device is then disassembled piece by piece at the designated areas requiring attention. Each important component is cleaned to remove dust, sweat, or usage residues. This cleaning not only restores a like-new appearance to the machine but also extends its lifespan.
Step 3: Replacement of wear parts
When technicians find that the condition of the parts is not optimal, the parts are replaced with new or equivalent original components. This approach ensures that each device operates optimally while meeting our quality standards.
Examples of parts that may be changed: Buttons, belts, cables, platforms (decks), various bearings, rollers, seats, pedals, handles, etc.
Step 4: Repair and calibration
When mechanical or electronic components show failures, our technicians and our electromechanic carry out the necessary repairs. The device is then recalibrated to ensure smooth, safe, and precise operation, whether for resistance, incline, display, or performance tracking.
Step 5: Aesthetic finishing
Once the mechanical aspects are addressed, the device receives an aesthetic refresh: touched-up or newly applied paint, repaired or replaced plastics, upholstery changed as needed. The goal is to deliver a product that will please you both visually and in your fitness endeavors.
Step 6: Performance testing and final validation
Before being put up for sale, each device undergoes a set of checks by our chief technician. We simulate workout sessions to verify the quality, durability, comfort, and safety of the machine. Only once these checks are successfully passed is the device approved for resale.
At Body Gym Equipment, refurbishing does not simply mean "repairing." It is a comprehensive process that transforms a used device into a reliable product.
